Nam Dok Mai translates to "water of flower," or more commonly in English, "nectar." Because Nam Dok Mai is fibreless and soft when ripe it is not commercially available. This is why our Nak Dok Mai are packed the way they are (see photo). You will know this mango is ready to eat when the green skin turns more yellow with a red blush. You will also be glad to know the Nam Dok Mai has an incredibly thin pit which means more mango.
