The low acidity content in a Rainier Cherry results in a sweeter cherry. That's right: a Rainier Cherry is sweeter than a Sweet Cherry. Thanks to their sweetness and lighter skin birds tend to eat 1/3 of Rainier Cherry crops. That is why you don't see them as often and also what makes them a speciality fruit.
Preparation Ideas: There are dozens of DIYs for pitting cherries, but honestly none of them are better than what your mouth can do. We recommend simply eating these incredibly sweet cherries. But if you must get creative then all we can say is: gold coloured cherry flavour is simply cooler than red.
