Finding decent blackberries is one of the hardest berries to find. When we aren't sourcing them locally we import Driscoll's Sweetest Batch because they are hands down the only blackberry that compares in flavour, texture and colour. 

This particular variety of blackberry is very unique because it thrives in the cold nights that the mountain brings. Most importantly though, sourcing good berries non-locally is difficult because they are often ripped from the vine too early, thus having very little flavour. Sweetest Batch berries remain on the vine for the necessary amount of time giving every berry a borderline local flavour.
