Bartlett Pears are one of the most commonly cultivated pears. They are great eaten raw, but are also great for baking and canning as they hold their shape nicely. Don't be confused by the "French" in the name, because I can almost, with certainty, tell you these things speak English. Or at the very least, bilingual.
