Feijoa

While a Feijoa may look like a guava + avocado mix it is borderline appalling how much better a Feijoa is. It smells like Double Bubble gum and tastes like a minty strawberry pineapple. It is a very elusive fruit here in Canada and is definitely a must try if you like Pawpaw, pineapple and avocado. 

A Feijoa is ripe when you can feel give with your thumb (very similar to an avocado). Just cut the fruit in half and enjoy the insides with a spoon.
