Fiddleheads are weird. No doubt about it. They have a sweetness similar to asparagus, with hints of green bean snappiness. Some like to cook them like a green bean by blanching them for a few minutes, then cooking up on a pan for 6-8mins.
Unfortunately this years Ontario crop wasn't very bountiful thanks to the May heat wave. That may not be too unfortunate for any East Coasters because we KNOW you prefer the ones from your Motherland.
