An old-faithful type of mango. Not as sweet as other varieties, but is gifted with a longer shelf life. Good for eating, sure; but probably best used in times when you're not expecting a face meltingly sweet mango. If you are looking for a mango to open and dice into cubes then this is the mango for you. Yes, that description is identical to the Kent mango. That's because they are very similar. The key difference would be that Tommy mangoes are more fibrous and soft when ripe.
