Orach was more commonly used before the introduction of Spinach. It has a salty spinach taste and can be eaten raw or cooked. Simply put: you can use it any way you would normally use spinach, except with Orach your meal with look a lot more funky and beautiful. It is also commonly used with Sorrel greens to help balance out the acidic flavour.
